SATURDAY 9 SEPTEMBER – Mac Demarco, 27, reportedly urinated in his pants on stage while performing at the Oregon Zoo, coinciding with the beginning of New York Fashion Week.
Tweets place the event at approximately 12:30 pm with reports of “Mac Demarco just peed himself on stage” and “i dont think the oregon zoo knew what they were doing when they booked mac demarco, he just pissed his pants on stage” (Twitter). The Oregon Zoo declined AROUSE when asked for comment.
The known modern indie and newfound overnight fashion icon has sparked an impulse trend in streetwear that has been taking the streets of New York by storm. Both Demarco fans and runway goers have been spotted in wet pants as if it were a new line of “ready-to-wear” from many of the fashion houses represented in the city until Friday. “I think it’s the carelessness Mac has always carried throughout his career and the way streetwear has been progressing” Sam Gilton told AROUSE, a 22 year-old soaked from zipper to toe, and lifelong New York resident. “It’s just time they’ve met each other”.
